The Historic Berlin Reichstag

Eurotunnel France – UK

Doukkala Pumping Station/Morocco

Agriculture remains one of Morocco’s key business sectors. Rainfall in the interior is limited, so irrigation is crucial for many farmers’ fields. A 100 kilometre irrigation canal now means that people in the dry Doukkala region can grow cereals, fruit, olives and wine. The water that they use for their crops comes from a reservoir north of the Atlas mountains. One of Africa’s largest pumping stations transfers it to the canal.
